AISI A2 Air-Hardening Cold-Work Tool Steel
AISI A2 (UNS T30102) — air-hardening medium-alloy cold-work tool steel, HRC 57–62. Compare with A6, A8, D2 and O1 for slitter blades and punches.

AISI A2 (UNS T30102) — air-hardening medium-alloy cold-work tool steel, HRC 57–62. Compare with A6, A8, D2 and O1 for slitter blades and punches.

AISI A6 — low-distortion air-hardening cold-work tool steel, HRC 58–60. Compare with A2 and D2 for blanking dies where dimensional stability matters.

AISI A8 — high-toughness air-hardening cold-work tool steel for impact loading. Compare with A2, A6, S7 for shear blades on thick plate.

ASP 2060 (UDDEHOLM) — PM HSS with 10.5 % Co, HRC 67–69. Compare with M42 and T15 for high-speed slitter blades on abrasive substrates.

AISI D2 and JIS SKD11 are the most-quoted cold-work tool steels in industrial blade manufacturing. They share a spec sheet — but the heat treatment.

AISI D3 (UNS T30403) — highest wear resistance in D-series, HRC 58–64. Compare with D2, D4, D5 for abrasive substrates — ceramic, glass fibre, rock wool.
